3. Data dan File Terhapus, menghemat beban database dan Disk Space.

The search as you type functionality in FF and Chrome

Firefox has functionality I just love: the search as you type functionality. It's not ON by default and to make FireFox exhibit this behaviour, check the Tools -> Options -> Advanced -> General -> "Search for text when I start typing" checkbox. When active, to find something in a page, one just start typing the text to be found. It's not necessary to press CTRL+F or F3. To find the next match, just press CTRL+G or F3.
Why is this great? Because it improves the browsing usability. Imagine you have goggled something and then open a page. To see where the searched text appears with the search as you type functionality, just start typing the text you have goggled. See, easy and fast. No need for extra keystrokes.
However, this functionality isn't available in Chrome which have keep me away form a more regular use. There is however an extension that just do that: chrome-type-ahead. It looks like that the Chrome developers don't like this search as you type feature but, IMHO, because of stubbornness than anything else. Anyway, the Chrome extension is there, not as perfect as it could be if part of the Chrome core, but still quite ok. Give it a try if you are in the mood.

Pada proses ini terjadi suatu pencuplikan dari bentukan sinyal analog. Pencuplikan dilakukan pada bagian-bagian sinyal analog. Ini dilakukan dengan sinyal-sinyal sample. Bentukan sinyal sample dapat dilihat pada Gambar berikut:

Ada suatu aturan tertentu dari sinyal ini. Teori Shannon menyatakan frekuensi sinyal ini paling sedikit adalah 2 kali frekuensi sinyal yang akan disampling(sinyal analog). Ini adalah batas minimum dari frekuensi sample agar nantinya cuplikan yang diambil menunjukkan bentukan sinyal yang asli (analog). Lebih besar tentunya lebih baik, karena cuplikan akan lebih menggambarkan sinyal yang asli.

Contoh suara manusia lebih sensitif mendengar suara dengan frekuensi 400 Hz sampai dengan 4000Hz. Hal ini tentunya akan sangat baik disampling dengan Frekuensi Sampling 8000 Hz atau 8kHz.

Gambar diatas adalah bentukan proses pencuplikan. Setelah dilakukan proses ini maka terbentuklah suatu sinyal analog-diskrit yang bentuknya menyerupai aslinya namun hanya diambil diskrit-diskrit saja.

Quantisasi

Ini adalah proses pembandingan level-level tiap diskrit sinyal hasil sampling dengan tetapan level tertentu. Level-level ini adalah tetapan angka-angka yang dijadikan menjadi bilangan biner. Sinyal-sinyal diskrit yang ada akan disesuaikan levelnya dengan tetapan yang ada. Jika lebih kecil akan dinaikkan dan jika lebih besar akan diturunkan. Prosesnya hampir sama dengan pembulatan angka. Tetapan level yang ada tergantung pada resolusi dari alat, karena tetapan level merupakan kombinasi angka biner, maka jika bitnya lebih besar kombinasinya akan lebih banyak dan tetapan akan lebih banyak. Ini membuat pembulatan level sinyal diskrit menjadi tidak jauh dengan level aslinya. Dan bentukan sinyal akan lebih bervariasi sehingga akan terbentuk seperti aslinya. Proses ini membuat sinyal lebih baik karena bentukkannya lebih tetap. Proses ini juga mengecilkan error dari suatu sinyal. Sinyal juga akan dikecilkan atau dibesarkan mengikuti besar Quantisasinya.

Perubahan ke digital (Encoding)

Setelah diquantisasi maka tiap-tiap diskrit yang ada telah memiliki tetapan tertentu. Tetapan ini dapat dijadikan kombinasi bilangan biner, maka terbentuklah bilangan-bilangan biner yang merupakan informasi dari sinyal. Setelah menjadi sinyal digital maka proses-proses perekayasaan dapat dilakukan. Yang harus dilakukan adalah merubah informasi digital tersebut dengan proses digital sehingga menjadi suara-suara yang kita inginkan. Proses dapat dilakukan dengan berbagai macam alat-alat digital (komputer). Sample-sample yang ada juga digunakan sebagai informasi untuk menciptakan suara dari berbagai macam alat elektronik (keyboard dan syntitizer). Penyimpanan suara juga akan lebih baik karena informasinya adalah digital.

Contoh Jika Dikuantisasi 8 Bit maka pada Perubahan Digitalnya akan menjadi 8 bit biner.
Jika sinyal yang menempel pada sumbu Y bernilai 5 maka akan menjadi 00000101

Today Nokia announced four new Cseries phones, including the Nokia C1-00. The Nokia C1-00 is Nokia's first phone to feature a 2-in-1 double SIM solution. It allows owners to switch between SIM cards by simply holding down a button. That allows owners to switch SIM cards while traveling between countries, or families and friends to share the same phone.By "double SIM" we mean that the C1-00 has two internal SIM slots, but only one is active at any one time and the user can swap between them by using a menu. This is different from "dual SIM" where there are two active SIM cards at any one time, such as the arrangement found in the Nokia C2.Apart from the SIM arrangement, the C1-00 is basically identical to the Nokia 1616 announced last year, with a 1.8" 128 x 160 pixel display, built-in flashlight, FM radio and a modernised Series 30 interface. It's worth noting that there is no data connectivity on the C1-00, so this is a device very much designed for making phone calls and sending SMS messages only.The standby time on the C1-00 is 48 days, which is almost 7 weeks. Talktime is a very good 13 hours, and the whole thing weighs just 73 grams and measures 107 x 45 x 15 mm. The C1-00 can be used with Nokia's optional bicycle charger too, so there might be no need to ever plug it in.

CPU benchmarks and the HP TouchSmart tm2 tablet PC

So you are about to buy a new computer and suddenly you discover that the number of choices are endless. Distant is the time when choosing a computer was basically choosing among 3 or 4 microprocessors, a graphics card, the amount of RAM and a large hard disk. Even if these items are not so difficult to choose even now a days, you will probably get stuck when it comes to the heart of the computer, the microprocessor. It was this way that I came to know that the interesting tablet computer concept from HP, the HP TouchSmart tm2-1090eg Notebook-PC, would be quite disappointing when running more demanding software. With a CPU Intel SU7300 @ 1.30GHz, it ranks at the lower level of the performance  chart. This make it not suitable for photography field work, what would be my main task for it, specially because of its touch screen and foldable screen.

However, who is looking for an acceptable computer that is also a tablet can find an interesting solution on this  HP EliteBook 2740p Tablet PC. But at what price :-S

Sony Ericsson J105 Naite Mobile Phone arrives in attractive shades of vapour silver and ginger red. The unit was announced in 2009, May. The unit, no doubt will bowl over consumers world wide!

TFT Display supports 256K colours. Screen size of the excellent unit is 2.2 inches. You can change the wall papers and screen savers to your choice. Vibration, Downloadable polyphonic, MP3, AAC ring tones and composer are the sound alarms to alert you. Speakerphone adds to your convenience. Phone book memory of the competent unit can save up to. 30 received, dialled and missed calls records too are kept by the unit. Picture ID and Ring ID allows you to identify the caller before you pick up the phone. 100 MB Internal and micro SD (Trans Flash) up to 8GB, 2 GB are included.

One of these handsets is the Naite J105 - a relatively cheap candybar phone that sits at the bottom of the Greenheart range. It's available for as little as £60 on Pay As You Go and for free on even the cheapest contracts. Its green credentials are derived from the use of recycled plastics, water-based paints, an energy efficient display, an on-phone manual instead of a paper one, and a lower-power consumption charger (though as the phone tells you every time you unplug it, you should unplug or switch off the charger at the mains anyway to save power). All told these measures apparently result in a 15 per cent drop in the overall CO2 emissions of the phone. This is of course good to hear, though we can't help but feel a 15 per cent saving would easily be bettered simply by buying second-hand and prolonging the life of existing products. Still, if you're looking to buy a new phone, it's good to know you're doing your bit for the environment.

Being a budget phone, it's no surprise that the Naite is lacking somewhat when it comes to fit and finish. That plastic body is rather flimsy and the keypad buttons are very wobbly and overall it just doesn't feel all that solid. It's certainly not going to fall apart at the drop of a hat but it doesn't fill you with confidence. Weighing just 82g, the plastic construction does at least get you a light device and its dimensions of 108 x 47 x 13mm make it highly pocketable as well. We also rather like the simple styling with its matt black back and combination of glossy black and silver on the front.

Also, despite their wobbliness, the buttons of the keypad are relatively easy to use thanks to a neat and logical layout. The action isn't great thanks to that aforementioned wobble but there's still a discernible click so it's easy to tell when you've pressed one. In addition, the navigation buttons are a little small but again not enough to be of major concern. Overall, we found we could type at a decent pace and navigating the menus was not hampered at all by the keys.

the SONY ERICSSON XPERIA X2. It´s the first Windows phone of the company, meaning it runs Windows Mobile 6.5. The panel interface we know from the X1 haunts us again, but it has been revamped and the manufacturer´s personalization pack seems to have taken over the standard Windows interface deeper. The XPERIA X2 sports 8-megapixel camera with touch focus, larger display, new keyboard and navigational keys design, plus a microUSB port. We´ve got a prototype intended for Vodafone, but it´s functional, so we will show you what to expect from the first Windows phone of Sony Ericsson.

The design of the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X2 features small changes and the manufacturer has staked on retaining the characteristic style of the X1 and its high build quality. You will almost immediately notice the lack of the prismatic navigational keys on its face side - they are now flat and smooth and the D-Pad has been transformed into an optical pad. The size of the phone display has grown 0.2 inches and now measures the healthy 3.2”.

We're not convinced about the panels system to be honest – as although it's great in practice, it seems to stress out the 528MHz processor a little bit, like it did to a greater degree on the Xperia X1.

Sony Ericsson assured us that this was only because it's a pre-production unit, and while we've heard such claims before, we'll give them the benefit of the doubt in this case.The Windows Mobile interface is still sporting some of the nasty trademark tiny icons we really hate, such as tiny crosses in the corner of the phone to shut down application windows, which ruins things a little bit, especially when we've played with the HTC HD2 which does a bang up job of hiding it all.

But there are a lot of cool features on the Xperia X2 as well – such as being able to re-order your panels by timeline, so basically changing your home screen depending on what you'll be doing at that time.There's also a cool tiled interface that links through to other applications, and while this might not be the most constructive way at looking for the program you're after it's still nice.

And the keyboard, which has been overhauled for this release, is a lot better too, as it's no longer flush with the surface (which made it very difficult to hit indeed). This keyboard will give a lot more accuracy, we reckon, and that will be another big problem fixed from the X1 to the X2.

The SONY ERICSSON X10 Mini Pro takes many of the original handsets features and technology and shrinks them down into a far smaller handset with a 3.2 inch touch screen as opposed to the large 4.3 inch display of the X10, added to this is a full Qwerty slide out keyboard for those people who like to press physical buttons when entering text rather than the on-screen option.

One big difference between the new X10 Mini Pro and the previous X10 and soon to be launched Sony Ericsson X10 Mini is that the camera has been slightly downgraded from 8.1 mega pixels to 5.0, this also helps to keep the price of this new Android handset low with the initial release price slated at £249.99, compared with the £489.99 asking price of the original X10 model this is a huge discount.

The release date for the SIM Free Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini Pro is now confirmed as May 24th 2010, the Mini version of this handset without the Qwerty keyboard is also rumoured to be launching at around the same time giving consumers a real choice of new, smaller Android phones.

The main display changes slightly from the larger model with the manufacturer using short-cuts in each corner of the screen, they claim that this makes it far easier to select features and applications just using your thumb on the smaller touch screen and these can also be personalised to your favourite programs and functions.
