Toshiba has released the Dynabook Qosmio T750, their first laptop has a lid which changes colour. The chameleonic lid color is shifts the color from deep blue to purple depending on the angle at which you’re looking at it. The technique, called Picasus and developed by Touré Meihan.

Samsung X430 4G Laptop review

Samsung has unveiled the Samsung X430 laptop with Telia Sonera network services in Sweden, which will come integrated with a 4G modem. The modem is also support for LTE network, up to 100Mbps, 3G and GSM/EDGE networks.

The Samsung X430 has feature a 14-inch LED-backlit display with resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels, a 1.2GHz Intel Core i3-330UM dual-core processor, 500GB hard drive, Wi-Fi and battery life of about 8 hours.

Menonaktifkan System Restore

System restore sangat berguna sekali bagi sistem komputer karena, ketika sistem mengalami masalah baik itu karena masalah virus, registry, maupun masalah lainnya, masalah tersebut seringkali bisa diselesaikan melalui system restore.

Namun adakalanya, untuk kepentingan tertentu, misalnya ketika kita hendak men-scan virus menggunakan PCMAV atau ketika kita ingin sedikit meluangkan ruang harddisk, system restore ini harus dinonaktifkan. Untuk menonaktifkan system restore, lakukanlah langkah-langkah di bawah ini:

• Klik kanan My Computer.
• Klik Properties.
• Klik tab System Restore.
• Berikan tanda centang pada Turn off System Restore on all drives.
• Klik OK.

Menyembunyikan Control Panel

Control Panel merupakan salah satu elemen dari sistem operasi Windows yang sangat penting karena di sinilah kita bisa melakukan perubahan-perubahan atau konfigurasi-konfigurasi.

Untuk menyembunyikan Control Panel dari menu Start, lakukanlah langkah-langkah di bawah ini:

• Klik Start - Run.
• Ketikkan "regedit". (Tanda petik jangan diketik!)
• Masuklah ke HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\ CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer.

How to Hide My Recent Documents

Some of the last files that we opened will be displayed on My Recent Documents menu. The existence of this menu makes it easier to access those files. But we can also hide the menu if we think it's not useful.

• Below are some steps to hide My Recent Documents menu:
• Click Start - Run.
• Type "regedit".
• Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\ Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced
• On the right window of the Registry Editor, right-click the empty space.
• Choose New - DWORD Value.
• Type "Start_ShowRecentDocs" and press Enter.
• Right-click the new key you've made and choose Modify.
• On the Value Data type the number "0" to hide My Recent Documents.
• Press OK.
• Restart your computer.

How to Hide Icons on the Desktop

Some computer users like to see icons on the desktop of their computer, meanwhile some others don't. If you are a user who doesn't like to see the icons on the desktop of your computer, you can hide those icons.

To hide the icons, you can do the following things:

1. Click Start - Run.
2. Type "regedit".
3. Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\ CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer.
4. Right-click on the right side of Registry Editor window and choose DWORD value.
5. Type a new value name "NoDesktop".
6. Right-click this new value name and click Modify.
7. Type "1" on the value data to hide the icons.
8. Click OK.
9. Restart your computer.

1. First of all, backup your template. See how: Template actions: download, backup, edit and restore. If anything goes wrong, this is your chance to go back.

2. Now, setup an AddThis account:

• Go to http://www.addthis.com
  
• Choose the sharing style:

CD bootable adalah CD yang bisa langsung dijalankan pada saat kita menyalakan komputer. CD semacam ini biasanya berisi sistem operasi atau program tertentu lainnya, misalnya sistem operasi Windows pada saat akan diinstal, sistem operasi Linux LiveCD, atau program GeeXbox untuk menjalankan multimedia.

Untuk menjalankan CD bootable ini, lakukanlah langkah-langkah berikut:

• Masukkan CD ke dalam CD/DVD drive.
• Masuklah ke BIOS.
• Ubahlah prioritas booting menjadi CD/DVD. Artinya, pada saat komputer dinyalakan, komputer tersebut akan membaca drive CD/DVD terlebih dahulu. (Untuk beberapa komputer, perubahan prioritas booting tidak perlu dilakukan melakukan BIOS, tetapi cukup melalui boot menu yang telah disediakan oleh sistem.)
• Keluarlah dari BIOS. (Atau, tekan ENTER jika Anda menggunakan boot menu.)
• Tunggu hingga komputer memproses perintah untuk menjalankan CD.

System 76 has announced the Gazelle Professional and Serval Professional laptops with the 2nd Generation Intel Core “Sandy Bridge” processors.

The Gazelle Professional feature up to Intel Core i7-2820QM Processor and Nvidia GeForce GTX 460M graphics, while the Serval Professional boast up to Intel Core i7-2920XM Processor Extreme Edition and Nvidia GeForce GTX 460M or GTX 485M graphics.

Configure windows 7 and Windows XP Firewall to Allow Port

So what are you trying to get through the Windows firewall?
So many thing need to be configured such as networking activity like remote administrator and network tools and programming.

First Assume your using the Windows7 firewall.

Make sure you do all this as admin
First you need to get into the firewall in control panel. On the side there is "advanced settings" click it.
Now you want to select "inbound rules" and then click "new rule..." on the right hand side.
Select port and add the port details. You probably want to repeat the process for "outbound rules" also making sure you select "allow the connection".



Second Assume your using the Windows XP firewall.

1.Open the 'Control Panel' and select 'Windows Firewall'
2.Click on the 'Exceptions' tab
3.Click on the 'Add Port...' button
4.Enter a name for this exception such as 'GFI FAXmaker'
5.Under the Port Number enter '25' and ensure that 'TCP' is selected
6.Click 'OK' to save changes
7.Ensure that the new exception created is checked under 'Programs and Services'
8. Click 'OK' to close the configuration

Dalam sistem operasi Solaris (OS), suatu proses yang kompleks diperlukan untuk mengubah hostname server. Untuk mengubah hostname di Solaris, file-file berikut harus diedit:

/etc/hosts

Ini akan menunjukkan alamat IP untuk nama host.

/etc/nodename

Hal ini mirip dengan Linux

/etc/hostname.hme0

hme0 bisa saja bernama ce0 atau yang lainnya yang merupakan primary LAN atau eth. 'hme0' adalah nama dari interface, yang dapat diambil dari 'ifconfig' perintah. Memodifikasi hostname di sini.

/etc/net/tic*/hosts

Ubah informasi semua ada di sini (3 file) untuk menyelaraskan dengan semua data dalam file yang disebutkan di atas. apabila menggunakan editor vi gunakan :n untuk lanjut ke file berikutnya

/etc/resolv.conf

Tentukan resolusi domain dan informasi DNS server di lokasi ini file.

/etc/defaultrouter

Masukkan alamat IP router default host Solaris di sini.

Setelah mengedit data pada lokasi file-file ini, pergi ke command prompt dan ketik hostname. Reboot server dan menguji perubahan untuk memastikan beroperasi dengan baik.
